A quality policy

One clear conviction

The performance of this production tool has been enhanced by a genuine desire for safety at every level and step along the production line. To achieve this, Pagès has implemented means of inspection and assessment throughout production to guarantee a secure finished product. The entire site pursues quality methods from raw material supply right up to the consumer’s tea cup. Our quality approach is part of our global commitment to customers and our on-going search for the highest possible quality.

IFS (International Food Standard) certification

Consult the IFS certificate

After being certified ISO (International Standard Organisation) 9002 in 1996, Pagès focused on the ISO 9001:2000 version reference system and was certified from December 2002 to December 2005. Since 2006 Pagès has been committed to certification IFS version 5 which was successfully completed. The audit conducted at the beginning of 2007 by TUV Management Service, an accredited independent certifying body, ranked the company at the upper level of category 13, Formulation, packaging and sale of teas and herbal teas.

This was a new step for the Pagès company, enabling it to be acknowledged in its sector as a front-rank player and to work with full confidence and transparency with its distributor partners.

The HACCP Management system

The Pagès company has incorporated in its Quality Management System procedures which are far more stringent: HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point). The objective is to analyse potential hazards relating to product risks, critical points to ensure that they are mastered and thus guarantee complete food safety for finished products.

ECOCERT certification

ECOCERT certification has been guaranteeing ‘Biological Agriculture’ production since 1998 free of chemical fertilizers or pesticides. Pagès selects biological farming areas which are approved by a certifying authority to validate land and production. Regular and unscheduled inspections take place to ensure that our farmers have the appropriate controls and expertise.

Laboratoire Velay

The Pagés company has an inspection laboratory, Laboratoire Velay, integrated in its production facility. The laboratory has a vital role to play in creating high added-value products, guaranteeing both quality and safety at every step in the production process, from reception of raw materials to packaging of the finished product. The Laboratory is also involved in carrying out systematic inspections imposed on farmers and processors as part of the HACCP system. Among the laboratory’s objectives is the development of Well-Being and Health products which require laboratory expertise. For the end consumer, the laboratory’s contribution is a guarantee of flavoursome, high-quality products which can be enjoyed to the full.
