The plants of the Haute-Loire department have been used for centuries in many ways. At first sight, we think that plants are used in cooking, in infusion or even in medicine, but we do not necessarily think immediately of dyeing and perfumery.
Indeed, historically speaking, the plants of the Haute-Loire have often been used for this kind of activity. To give you an example, to make dye, Meadowsweet was sometimes used to give the color yellow. And as for perfumery, Violet and Wild Pansy were often used by perfumers.
